Resonant States: A Concert in Breath & Sound is an immersive cello duo concert that brings together live music, guided breathwork, and gong. The experience invites audiences to slow down, listen deeply, and encounter live music in a more relaxed and intimate setting. Doors at 6pm, music at 6:30pm.
This seated concert brings together two cellists, a yoga and mindfulness practitioner, and gong in an intimate listening experience.
Following the performance, audiences are invited to stay for tea, refreshments, and conversation, creating space for connection beyond the music.
Founded by Zoe Lee, Resonant States is an interdisciplinary performance series exploring the space between music, mindfulness, and human connection. Rooted in live musical performance, the project creates space to slow down, breathe, listen, and simply be present.
Mindset Journey Practitioner: Pudji Lestari
Pudji Lestari is the founder of Bilik Yoga Shala in Cole Valley and a 500-hour ERYT with over 1,000 hours of training and teaching experience. Her work integrates traditional yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and mindfulness to support presence, nervous system regulation, and personal transformation. Influenced by Ashtanga teacher Diana Christinson and mentor Priya Gilkman, she weaves movement, breath, sound, and mindset into her teaching. She has also studied end-of-life care, bringing compassionate awareness to life transitions. Through yoga, sound baths, and wellness sessions, she creates grounded spaces for healing and self-discovery.
Cello: Elmer Carter
Elmer Carter III, cofounder of Mosaic Strings, is a Bay Area cellist known for his resonant tone and collaborative approach. He holds an Advanced Certificate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Jennifer Culp, following a Master of Music with Jean-Michel Fonteneau. His work spans orchestral and chamber performances, including section work with the San Francisco Philharmonic and leadership of the Echo Trio through the San Francisco Symphony’s Adventures in Music program. He has performed with major Bay Area ensembles and is a recipient of the Denis de Coteau Fellowship with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
Cello: Zoe Lee
Zoe Lee, founder of Resonant States, dedicated to creating immersive musical experiences that bridge performance and well-being. She has performed in chamber and orchestral settings at venues including Herbst Theatre, SFJAZZ, and the National Concert Hall in Taiwan, and has appeared at international festivals including the Taipei Music Academy Festival and Festival Napa Valley. Zoe holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
